Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
1. What we collect
- Account data — email address and (if used) Google account name/avatar when you sign up.
- Usage data — pages viewed, searches, AI prompts and saved builds, tied to your account.
- Billing data — handled by Stripe. We do not store card details on our servers.
- Cookies — essential session cookies for auth, plus affiliate tracking cookies set by retailers when you click their links.
2. How we use it
- To provide the Service — search, comparison, AI builder, saved builds.
- To manage your PricePal Pro subscription.
- To improve the Service (aggregated, non-identifying analytics).
- To respond to support requests.
We do not sell your personal data.
3. Affiliate links & retailer cookies
When you click a "Buy" link, you leave PricePal and land on a third-party retailer (Amazon, Currys, Scan, etc.). Those retailers set their own cookies, including affiliate-tracking cookies that credit PricePal for the visit. This does not change the price you pay. Retailer privacy policies apply to what happens on their sites.
4. Third parties we use
- Supabase — authentication, database and storage.
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Google — optional OAuth sign-in.
- Affiliate networks — Amazon Associates, Awin.
5. Your rights (GDPR / UK GDPR)
You have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us via the contact page. You can also delete your account from the account settings page, which removes your profile, saved builds and subscription record.
6. Data retention
Account data is kept while your account is active. Billing records are retained for 7 years to meet tax and legal obligations. Aggregated analytics are kept indefinitely but contain no personal identifiers.
7. Security
Data is stored on managed infrastructure with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. No system is 100% secure — if you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.
8. Changes
We will post any material changes to this policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date.
